A Painfully produced card for Whiff of Joy challenge #18

Not many cards made this week due to slight mishap with little finger. It being very silly got itself knocked and swelled up beyond belief. Now it's all swollen, lumpy, a beautiful shade of purple and won't bend. This has made crafting extremely difficult and somewhat painful - consequently making cards is a very slow process at the moment.

WOJ have a recipe for us to follow this week. Three patterned papers, two flowers and one brad or button.

I used Papermania Simply Elegant papers (curtesy of Martine - who kindly replaced, at her own expense, a challenge prize lost by the PO). I used hammered cardstock and cut the front from corner to corner so the inside shows. The third patterned paper I used for the flowers and to decorate the inside - hope this isn't cheating!!

Materials
Papermania Simply Elegant papers : Image, WOJ - Melinda blowing kisses : Derwent pastels : Punches - EKSuccess Retro flowers & Leone Em branch : SU pearls : Flower brad from stash

Hi Heather, this card is just gorgeous, I love the way you cut the front of the card, just lovely. Fab image and papers too ( I just bought a book of those yesterday )

me bein a nurse i think it's poss you broke your finger ! In any case, even for severe bruising the treatment is the same, put a little piece of lint or even kitchen roll between your damaged finger and the neighbouring one , and then using a bit of tape, or plasters , join the 2 fingers together, it should support it and ease the discomfort :-)
Hope it feels better soon x

Aww Heather
Lumpy, bumpy finger aside - it's still a fantastic card - I love those colours - I'm always drawn to browns and cream and make a real effort to make cards with different colours or there would just be a sea of brown, creams and beige!!!

Seriously though as Lorraine has said as I was reading your post I'm thinking eeeh it sounds like it's broken, have you been to the doctor to get it checked even though it's just a strap it up job!!!

Hope it gets better though

Hugs
Dawn

This is beautiful Rica. Can't believe you have created this with your hurt finger ... which I have read later on is actually broken. Hang in there and just give it some rest from time to time ... I know this is difficult for a seriously enthusiastic crafter. Hugs from Desire
